Wedding Planning Advice
Having worked as a wedding videographer for many years now, I feel that I can offer lots of experience and wedding planning tips to brides and grooms. I enjoy hearing what stage you’re at in the wedding planning process and will offer suggestions as to what to do next. I will always be happy to recommend some fantastic wedding suppliers too, businesses and professionals that I have seen first-hand will give 110% to your wedding day. If there is any way that I can make the wedding planning process easier for my couples, I’m happy to help!
Embracing a creative flare
Every wedding is unique, so no wedding film should be the same. Finding new ways to capture a wedding day technically, as well as through style is a huge motivator for me. Delivering a film that shows the day to the very best of my ability as a wedding videographer will always be the most important part of my job.
In-the-moment reacting
Weddings don’t always follow a schedule and the feel of the day can change at any time. In the early days, I felt quite nervous and even a little stressed when things went a little off-plan. But now, as my confidence and skills have grown, I thrive on the challenge of capturing everything. I have learnt to react to the wedding, not the ‘schedule’. Those unplanned, natural moments between a couple or a family, always make the best moments in a wedding film.
My couples become my friends, not my clients.
I want to know about a couple’s lives together. Who are they, what brought them together and what do they plan for their future? I film weddings as I love capturing key moments that trigger a happy future together. Knowing you and what’s important to you, is so important me. The fact that knowing these details creates perfect wedding films, is just a huge bonus.
Emotionally connected
I can’t build a relationship with a couple and then sit through their wedding without a little tear-wiping. I promise not to blub all the way through the day, but when I hear the most adorable speeches about couples who are clearly meant for one another, I can’t help but feel a little choked up. It’s a good job I have a lot of equipment to hide behind! I’m so in love with being able to capture these real emotions that your guests are experiencing at the same time.
Keeping in touch
To me, a wedding is not just a job. I don’t simply capture the day, send over a film and then I’m done. Being chosen as your wedding videographer and capturing those amazing moments and raw emotions is a true honour. Social media makes keeping up to date with my couples so much easier. I get so excited when I see new chapters of your lives, new jobs, new house, maybe an extra tiny person in the household?
I truly care about my brides and grooms and celebrating more happiness with you, gives me a lovely warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Wedding Film Perfection
You will likely only have one wedding day. I’m here to make sure you can relive it and experience those emotions as many times as you want to. I will work tirelessly on the day to capture every precious moment shared. Your wedding film will include all those details that you spent months planning for; the soft curls that fall from the bride’s up-do, or those DIY pieces that you lovingly created. Every film that I deliver is sent because I am 100% proud of the masterpiece of a love-story that we created together. If I wiped away a happy tear during my final watch of your wedding, I know your film is ready.
See for yourself…
This is the beautiful wedding day of Lisa and Sam who got married last summer at London Rowing Club (Putney). This wedding always sparks happy memories when I am asked about my favourite weddings. The weather was gorgeous, the bride and groom were a match made in heaven and their families all had a fantastic day. It was the perfect day, spent with wonderful people. Lisa and Sam are now eagerly awaiting the birth of their little baby girl and I can’t wait to see photos as their family grows and their love story continues.
