Important Wedding Moments Number 1: The first Look
The first look. The much-anticipated moment when the Groom spots his bride approaching him on the aisle. Or, you may have chosen to have a private first look where just the two of you meet before the ceremony (just don’t forget to let your videographer know!). However you choose to see each other for the first time on your wedding day, moments like this are not to be missed! The awe, love and adoration captured in the eyes of your loved one when they see you looking amazing, is guaranteed to be one of your favourite moments in your wedding film.
Here’s a sneak peak of Jodie and Katie’s first look that is sure to give you all the feels…
Confetti, bubbles, rice; whatever your guests are throwing at you – it looks fab on film! The confetti throw is always a very joyful and fun time. Everyone has relaxed, you’re surrounded by smiley faces and you are officially married. Ahead of you awaits good food, lots of champers and partying with your favourite people. What’s not to cheer about?
Important Wedding Moments Number Three – The Speeches
Something that I’m passionate about capturing on film and in their entirety, are the wedding speeches. These are always emotional. The reactions from the bride, groom and immediate family are always as important as the words being spoken. The details of how the couple met, when they fell in love, or what the Father of the groom really first thought of his daughter’s new boyfriend, always adds a roller coaster of emotion to a wedding film.
Whilst speeches are an obvious choice for one of the most important wedding moments, what can sometimes be missed off the list are the ceremony readings. Often with a more serious tone, ceremony readings are also full of genuine emotion and meaning. Being able to re-live that raw and personal emotion is something that you will cherish forever. Try and get through this next sneak peak without a lump in your throat, I know I can’t…
Important Wedding Moments Number Four – The First Dance
You don’t have to perform a beautifully rehearsed, choreographed first dance for it to be special. In fact, most of the first dances I see are simply swaying back and fourth to a carefully chosen song. It’s the fact that it’s the first time you will dance together as a married couple and take the time to hold each other whilst those meaningful lyrics are playing that makes it so special. You will be so caught up in the moment, you won’t notice the guests watching on in awe, especially if most of them are watching from behind their camera phones. Watching back on film, you will be able to see all of those happy faces that were missed first time. I also happen to have a knack for capturing guests from behind their phones.
Important Wedding Moments Number 5 – The details
All those little shots that your videographer captures without you realising will make you squeal with excitement watching them back. You probably spent a long time choosing the design of the cake, the centrepieces or venue dressings to ensure every detail matched your vision. You never thought about preserving those decisions until you watched them back on your wedding film. Couples are always very appreciative at these seemingly small details being captured, yet it’s these ‘small’ details that made the day so stunning and personal to you.
